MNF WKII: Cason Wentz Soars Like An Eagle

The second week of the 2016 NFL Season came to a close last night as the Philadelphia Eagles, led by rookie Quarterback Carson Wentz send Jon Fox’s Bears to 0-2.

Chicago quarterback Jay Cutler went 12-17 for 157 yards and one interception before leaving the game with a hand injury. His replacement, Brian Hoyer, didn’t manage to get the Bears on the board as the fell 29-14.

Philadelphia’s Carson Wentz continues to look like the pro football ready signal-caller many thought he was before the draft, going 21-34 for 190 yards and a touchdown. On the year, Wentz carries a 94.1 passer rating which is highest among rookie QBs who have thrown 10 or more passes.

Next week Chicago travels to Dallas looking for their elusive first win against Dak Prescott and the Cowboys dominate running game while the Eagles try to slow down the high-powered offense of their cross-state rival Pittsburgh Steelers.
