It’s hard to remember the Minnesota Vikings have lost their starting quarterback and All-Pro starting running back to major injury this season. Without Teddy Bridgewater and Adrian Peterson the Vikings haven’t lost a beat as they rolled to a 4-0 start, barely slowing down long enough to acknowledge Eli Manning by intercepting him for the 13th time in his career.
Replacement QB Sam Bradford and the Vikings offense had a better night, while the ret of the Giants offense did not.
Giants’ wide reciever Odell Beckham Jr., who many consider the best in the game – including Odell himself, was shut down by the Vikings swarming defense, as was Giants running game. Their lead back and Beckham combined for 71 yards.
With a J.J. Watt-less Houston Texans coming to town next week, riding on a spotty offense that can’t quite get the engine running on all cylinders, it looks like the Vikings will ride into their bye week 5-0.
