Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco 49ers – NFL Network 6pm EST
The battle for the crown of the NFC West division heats up as the Arizona Cardinals fly north to try and get back on course without their starting quarterback, Carson Palmer, who has been ruled out of this one with a concussion.
Arizona, currently 1-3, were the off season favorites to rule the roost in the west, but instead have been riddled with discord and missteps that have led them to bottom of the division and one of seven NFC teams desperately searching for their second win.
The 49ers aren’t doing much better, having given up 17 more points than they’ve scored so far this season. Chip Kelly’s high flying, up-tempo offense has only managed to put up 22.5 points per game so far but luckily for them, the Cardinal’s have only scored 2 more over the first four weeks.
Conventional wisdom has the more talented Cardinal roster taking over and moving on to a 2-3 record after tonight, but one thing this NFL season has proven is that any given team can win on any given game day.
