Thursday Night Football WK IX (Falcons v Buccaneers)

Coming into this game with a two-game lead over their division rivals, the Atlanta Falcons and their hot-handed QB Matt Ryan are ready to take apart Jameis Winston and his fellow Buccaneers.

Ryan currently sits atop the league with 2,636 passing yards, 19 touchdowns, four interceptions and a 9.4 yard per pass average.

Winston is in 16th place with 1776 yards, 14 touchdowns, nine picks and a far less impressive 6.6 yards per completion. His yard per pass number ranks near the bottom of the NFL for QBs with more than 10 attempts this season.

Falcons head coach Dan Quinn has never beaten the Buccaneers, however, going 0-3 against their southern opponent and losing the last tilt 24-31.

Things appear to be different this year, however, as Atlanta’s offense has the #1 passing attack in the league thanks to Ryan and all-pro wideout  Julio Jones  while Tampa Bay has the 22nd ranked pass defense.

If Atlanta jumps out to an early lead, expect this one to be over by halftime. But, as we see every single week in the NFL, it’s not over till it’s over.
