Louisville Cardinals 10 Houston Cougars 36

Lamar Jackson brought his electric offense and playing style to the third coast expecting to run over the hometown Houston Cougars on his way to a NCAA bowl birth and eventual Heisman Trophy.

But, Tom Herman and his players, in front of a sold out crowd, had other plans for the evening. By halftime, the Cougars had a 31 point lead and never looked back.

Say what you will about Lamar Jackson’s highlight reel season, but the true hero of the evening was the Houston defense that dragged him down from the stratosphere and proved that Jackson is mortal after all.
