Tom Herman Gets Paid

Just days after then University of Houston head coach Tom Herman made a statement about money not being a deciding factor in his decision of where to coach, reports are coming in that University of Texas was the highest bidder for his services. Herman will reportedly receive over $5 million per season with an elevator to land him over $6 million if he hits certain marks for his final year.

LSU reportedly refused to pay him that much and University of Houston offered him a seven figure raise in the form of a contract extension, neither of which was enough to stop Herman from moving to Austin and donning the burnt orange of the Texas Longhorns.

Hopefully, Red McCombs and the other boosters give Herman a better shake than they did outgoing coach Charlie Strong.
